The Piano Studio of Emily Kline located in Duluth, MN offers affordable piano lessons in your home with a well-rounded and fun curriculum. Emily is a member of the Association of Professional Piano Instructors (APPI). Piano lessons are taught in a positive manner focusing on technique, theory, ear training, sight-reading and music history. Many different styles of music are taught in the studio: Jazz, Classical, Pop, Rock, Blues, and/or New Age. Emily strives to help each student develop their own love for music using a kind and patient approach. (Plus, an awesome prize bag that helps keep students motivated!)
Meet The Teacher
Emily Kline, Piano Instructor/Studio Owner
Emily Kline has been playing the piano since the age of five during which she took lessons from two local Minnesota teachers. In her youth, Emily had the opportunity to study classical piano at the Wausau Conservatory of Music with Dr. Thomas Pearsall. During this time she served as a church congregation's organist and choir pianist.Â
Emily has been teaching for 15 plus years and is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Emily served as the North Branch Area Piano Teacher's Association president. In addition, she served on the board of APPI (Association of Professional Piano Instructors) and has co-chaired the annual piano festival. Sharing music with the community is one of Emily's passions. She has taught, "First Steps in Musicland" and "Music, Mom, Dad, and Me" classes for many local city Park and Recreation Departments. In addition, Emily is licensed to substitute teach in the public schools. Other community involvement includes bringing her students to an assisted living center to play music for the residents. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and painting in a Swedish folk style (Dalmålning).
